We are an architects practice based in a beautiful valley of the Cotswolds, as architects we have been involved in eco-projects for 20 years and, as the very real pressure to focus on preserving the fragility of our environment increases, we are in turn extremely passionate about helping to promote an ethical, spiritual and sustainable vision of future living.

Come and find us in our unique star shaped tent. It has been designed by Gordon Clarke to showcase both our commitment to organic and ecological design. It is made from natural cotton, all the materials have been locally sourced and it was manufactured within our local community. It is a star shape with 8 points, this has a universal symbolism of balance, harmony, and cosmic order. Within this space we hope to develop a deeper understanding of these issues with design in mind, through discussion and interactive awareness raising.

There will be a programme of workshops and design advice offered throughout the day free of charge from qualified architects and other professionals in this area. We will be available to answer specific questions around the implementation of very practical solutions in day-to-day life, from basic environmental energy saving devices to full-scale eco-builds.

We are on a continuous journey to develop our lifestyles in a direction that makes significant differences to our communities and to our environment. It is our belief that we must take the time to focus on these issues and we feel that the festival scene offers a perfect environment in which to engage with open-minded, creative individuals who will want to increase their knowledge and share ideas and inspiration for a positive future. gcarchitects.co.uk

Mooncup is the healthy alternative to tampons, rated 'Best Buy' in a review of all sanitary products by the Ethical Consumer magazine. The average woman uses at least 10,000 throwaway tampons and pads in her lifetime. Or, if she's in the know, she uses just one Mooncup which lasts for years. No hassle with different absorbencies, no need to carry spares and no packaging, applicators or backing strips to dispose of every month. No exposure to pesticides or bleaches, or monthly expense either.

Popular with women worldwide, the Mooncup is greener, cheaper and healthier. Manufactured in the UK for a small ethical business, too. Come visit us at the Green Innovations field at the Sunrise festival to find out more. mooncup.co.uk

V3 Power are a workers cooperative that build and run courses in how to build small scale wind turbines. The design (from Hugh Piggot) is low tech and can be built from scratch in a workshop from materials that aren't hard to come by - the blades are carved from wood, the alternator includes magnets and hand wound coils cast in resin, and everything is held together by a mounting welded together from steel. The materials used are reclaimed or recycled where possible, and using hand tools for the majority of the build makes for a robust, easily fixable and low carbon design. The design can also be adapted to various sizes and wind conditions. Through runnning courses the knowledge of the design is spread rather than the machine itself so the turbines can be maintained and repaired by whoever installs them, reducing reliance on an external organisation and increasing self sufficiency.

Come have a chat to V3 in the green innovations area: discuss the design and where the materials are sourced from, have a go at using a drawknife to carve a blade from wood, learn about generating, storing and using off grid renewable power, or even charge your phone from the power of the wind! v3power.co.uk

We provide a practical demonstration of solar hot water technology - showing how sunlight can heat water for your household needs.

We run free workshops explaining the basic principles behind this clean and sustainable technology, and we show you the inner workings of a clip-fin solar collector, providing hands-on experience of the skills required to construct one yourself.

We also provide information and advice on other ways of using solar energy, and can help put you in touch with commercial suppliers, educational establishments, and a network of activists and enthusiasts who might want to be involved in your projects! networkforsustainability.org
